About YMCA: Our Stories, Our Fight
Young Mothers Cancer Awareness (YMCA) was born from the tragic losses of Sharon Plummer and Rachel Partin, young mothers struck by rapid-onset colorectal cancers. Founded by their widowers, David Plummer and Robert Partin, YMCA supports grieving fathers raising young children and seeks answers for these cancers. Their stories, joined by two other widowers, raise concerns: healthy women, under 40, often new mothers, lost to rapid-onset cancers post-2021. Guided by emerging research, we're engaging with the MHRA to investigate potential mRNA vaccine safety concerns, honouring our loved ones and protecting children like Jemima, Bobby, and Lennon. Explore the science on our Evidence page.

Sharon Plummer's Story
Sharon, David's wife, was 39, vibrant, and a new mother to Jemima, now two, when she died on October 21, 2023, just 31 days after her stage 4 colorectal cancer diagnosis. After receiving mRNA vaccines in 2021, her cancer began in July 2021, progressing from a tiny growth to a 6 cm tumour with liver and ovarian spread in 26 months-faster than typical colorectal cancers.
Genetic tests confirmed the cancer wasn't hereditary, prompting investigation into potential triggers, including mRNA vaccine contaminants (e.g., SV40, spike protein), per emerging research (Speicher, 2023). During pregnancy (2022), spotting was misdiagnosed, delaying detection. After Jemima's birth, pain and bleeding surged, but delays led to a late diagnosis. Sepsis and liver failure took her life. David is testing Sharon's biopsy and engaging with the MHRA to ensure safety for others.
- March 2019: Healthy, normal blood tests.
- May 2021: First mRNA vaccine.
- July 2021: Second mRNA vaccine; cancer begins.
- May 2022: Pregnant, spotting starts.
- July 2022: Spotting persists, misdiagnosed.
- December 2022: Jemima born; pain begins.
- May 2023: Bowel urgency appears.
- September 2023: Bleeding, stage 4 diagnosis.
- October 2023: Sepsis, liver failure.
- October 21, 2023: Sharon passes away.

Rachel Partin's Story
Rachel, Robert's wife, was 33 when she died on March 27, 2024, 13 months after her stage 4 colorectal cancer diagnosis, three weeks after giving birth to Bobby, now two. She left Bobby and Lennon, now five. Her cancer began post-2021, progressing rapidly to stage 4 in 15 months.
In 2021, Rachel's blood tests were healthy, but by July 2022, anemia signaled trouble, followed by severe anemia and liver issues confirming cancer spread. A 2025 biopsy is being analyzed for potential mRNA vaccine-related contaminants (e.g., SV40, spike protein), supported by emerging research. Pregnancy hid symptoms, and postpartum immune shifts fueled the cancer's surge. Robert is engaging with the MHRA to seek answers.
- 2021: Healthy, normal blood tests.
- March-May 2021: mRNA vaccines.
- December 2021: mRNA vaccine; cancer later detected.
- July 2022: Pregnant, mild anemia detected.
- September 2022: mRNA vaccine.
- November 2022: Severe anemia, liver issues.
- January 2023: Bobby born.
- February 2023: Stage 4 diagnosis.
- February 2024: Sepsis, critical decline.
- March 2024: Rachel passes away.
A Growing Cluster
Sharon and Rachel are among four women-two others, under 40 and postpartum-who died from rapid-onset colorectal cancers post-2021, exceeding typical rates (15-20 per 100,000, Cancer Research UK). This cluster raises concerns about potential mRNA vaccine safety, supported by emerging research. We're calling on widowers to share their stories and investigate this crisis.

Seeking Answers with the MHRA
We're engaging with the MHRA to investigate rapid-onset cancers, supported by biopsy evidence and emerging research (Speicher, 2023). We're awaiting further MHRA responses as we seek tumour testing and transparency. Join us to honour Sharon, Rachel, and others, ensuring answers for our children. Share your story on our Connect page.
